On a gross personal note, I think it's a collection of recordings that exhibit great beauty and incredible awareness of sound. Broken Shoulder has never set out to be Easy Listening but it's hard to deny the gentle power of what's presented here. Plus, I think there's a special kind of glory in the fact that these were recorded in Tokyo, Japan to be aired exclusively in Calderdale, West Yorkshire...A wonderful journey!
Audio Antihero and Broken Shoulder (Neil Debnam) would like to extend our thanks to Crow Versus Crow and 96.7 Phoenix FM for all their support and (presumably) darling figures. Thanks also to Benjamin Shaw for mastering these recordings, his love for Broken Shoulder's music is quite apparent from his work here. Lovely as always.
"Cat's Forehead" originally appeared on the "Some.Alternate.Universe" charity compilation for FSID on Audio Antihero.
"Shark Island" originally appeared on the 2011 Split EP with Fighting Kites on Audio Antihero.
"Oak & Mirrors" originally appeared in an expanded form on "The Tape Of Disquiet" cassette on TapeYourMouth Records.
